The Educational Access & Support Program is committed to restoring and strengthening learning opportunities for children and youth whose education has been disrupted by war, displacement, and the COVID-19 pandemic. In regions heavily affected by conflict—such as the Northern Province—many families continue to face economic hardship, trauma, and a lack of access to quality schooling.
This program addresses those challenges by providing comprehensive support to ensure that vulnerable students can return to school, stay in school, and succeed. Our efforts include distributing school supplies and uniforms, offering scholarships, delivering catch-up classes, and supporting remote learning for those still facing disruptions.
The long-lasting effects of the civil war have left gaps in infrastructure, access, and confidence in the education system. These were further compounded by the COVID-19 crisis, which widened the digital divide and led to increased school dropouts, especially among girls and economically disadvantaged youth.
To bridge these gaps, we work with local communities, educators, and families to rebuild trust in education, strengthen teaching quality, and create safe, inclusive learning environments. We also integrate psychosocial support to help students heal from trauma and focus on their futures.
By targeting the root causes of educational inequality, the program empowers a new generation to overcome adversity and build a brighter, more stable future for themselves and their communities.
